St George's - St George's is a family-run bed and breakfast with 10 individually decorated en suite bedrooms. This Victorian house is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac across from York's racecourse. It is a 10 minute walk to the city walls but less to the start of York's many wonderful eating places. From here to get to the city center you can either walk round on the walls at Micklegate Bar towards the spectacular ancient Minster or under them where the shops start. Both ways take around a further 10 minutes, so it is 20 minutes walking from us to the middle of town. Our emphasis is on friendliness and cleanliness. We offer full English breakfast in the dining room or relax and take advantage of our breakfast in bed at no extra charge. The Moors Inn - Perfectly situated on the border of the North Yorkshire Moors, the Moors Inn is a Grade II Listed building in the centre of Appleton-le-Moors village. All of the comfortable rooms have en suite facilities and a TV. Many rooms have charming period features, including beamed ceilings. The Moors Inn serves an a la carte menu and traditional British food, in a cosy, welcoming environment. There are a large range of whiskeys and beers. Free parking is available to guests.

Bull Lodge Guest House - We offer conveniently-located, comfortable accommodation, all non-smoking. A modern, detached, no-smoking guest house residence, built in the early 1980s, in a tree-lined side-street, a short walk from York's old centre, with private car parking and garaging for cycles and motorbikes. We are situated just off the main York to Hull road (a1079), close to York University and Business Science Park and the Barbican Leisure Centre. Quiet dogs are welcome by arrangement. All rooms are non-smoking. Rates include full-choice breakfast cooked-to-order. Saturday night-only bookings are not available. Note that the latest check-in is 21:00.

Barrington House Guest House - Just 10 minutes' walk from the city centre, halfway between the railway station and York Racecourse, Barrington House has been offering comfortable accommodation at great-value rates for over 25 years. During its 25-year history as a guest house, Barrington House has established a good reputation for the quality of its service and the value for money it offers. Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac, just off the main road, this Edwardian townhouse was originally built around 1906. Today, the house still retains many original features from that period. All of the en suite rooms are well equipped, with TVs and tea/coffee making facilities with complimentary biscuits. There are many restaurants, bars and shops nearby and all the attractions and amenities of York's city centre are within easy walking distance. Breakfast is included in the price and guests can choose a full cooked English breakfast or a continental-style breakfast featuring various cereals, yoghurt, grapefruit, fruit juice and fresh fruit.

Queen Annes Guest House - Close to York city centre, Queen Anne's Guest House offers charming, excellent value accommodation and free Wi-Fi. York Rail Station is a short walk away. Most of the comfortable, well furnished rooms have contemporary en suite facilities and all rooms have a TV. Queen Anne's offers an excellent inclusive full English breakfast, served in the traditional dining room. Shops, restaurants and bars are within easy walking distance. Free parking is provided.

Bronte Guest House - This beautiful Victorian guest house is just a few minutes' walk from historic York city centre. Bronte Guest House has a comfortable country-house atmosphere and provides luxurious accommodation, quality service, free Wi-Fi and free parking. The hotel is on a quiet one-way street that overlooks Bootham Park and has views of York Minster. York Minster can be reached in a 7-minute walk.

The Wheeldale - Located on the western cliff of Whitby, with a premier sea view, this award-winning accommodation offers a freshly cooked breakfast and a self-service bar. The Wheeldale was the winner of the Accommodation of the Year award at the Whitby Hospitality Association awards in November 2008. Most of the rooms are large and modern with an en suite, and a few smaller rooms are available. Four rooms have a stunning sea view, and the whole of the hotel is non-smoking. Crossing the road, you can walk straight down onto the beach for fresh sea air and brisk walks.

Discovery Accommodation - This contemporary accommodation in the heart of Whitby has a quiet location close to the beach, shops, restaurants and the harbour. The properties are located close to the main office on Silver Street. Each is in a quiet location. The leisure facilities are adjacent to our offices and can be booked for private use for a small fee. Leisure facilities include a private heated pool, a giant Scalextric track, a sauna and a gym. Parking is available on request at an additional cost.

Hilton Lodge Guest House - The friendly, recently refurbished Hilton Lodge has elegant B&B accommodation in superior Victorian rooms. It is 10 minutes walk from York Minster and the city centre. Each room has period features and a quality en suite bathroom. Freshly made breakfasts feature local produce where possible. The house has a calm and relaxing environment and free Wi-Fi access is available throughout. Hilton Lodge offers concessions with local pubs, and is a great base from which to explore the North Yorkshire Moors, Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay.
