The Crown Inn - The newly refurbished Crown Inn has 7 brand new en-suite bedrooms, a bar and restaurant with a'la carte menu. The Crown overlooks beautiful Chislehurst Common. If you enjoy walking, then Chislehurst is on one of the Green Chain routes from Mottingham Lane to Beckenham Park (4 1/2 miles). The Crown is very close to the well known Chislehurst Caves which extend for nearly 20 miles and date back over 4,000 years. The caves became more widely known after their use during the Second World War as an air raid shelter, not only for the locals but for over 10,000 Londoners who travelled to the caves each night by special train. It was so well organised that people could pay 1d per night for a bunk and there was also a cinema, church and hospital for them to use during their time underground. The caves are thought to be entirely man made and were created during three periods of time by our ancestors - well worth a visit. The Crown Inn has 7 guest rooms, all of which are non-smoking.

The Castle Hotel - This charming, family run inn is set in the village green of Saltwood. Here, you will find picturesque walks around the town, taking in the village green, timbered village hall and Norman church. Both feature live events within the new Lower Leas Coastal Park, where there is also an adventure playground and pebble beach. The Royal Albion - Looking out to sea over Broadstairs' Viking Bay, the Royal Albion has a magnificent location, on the seafront, yet also close to the heart of the town. The Royal Albion was originally built in 1760 and Charles Dickens was a regular visitor. The famous Bleak House, Dickens' home in Broadstairs, is within sight. The rear gardens lead out onto the town's seafront promenade, with direct access to the sandy beaches. All of the 21 rooms are en suite and each room has Sky TV and tea/coffee making facilities. As recently as the early 1900s, part of the building was a butcher's. Today, the property has been carefully restored and sensitively refurbished by your hosts, Gerard and Denise McNicholas.
