Rose Cottage - A relaxing retreat in the heart of the Lake District, this charming 16th century cottage is situated in the picturesque village of Bowness, one minute's walk from Lake Windermere. Just a short stroll away from Bowness's shops, caf?s, restaurants and attractions, Rose Cottage provides comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation. Please note that the cottage is bed and breakfast only, no additional meals can be provided. Still maintaining many of its original features, the house can be unsuitable for disabled guests or those who have trouble with stairs. Unfortunately no ground floor rooms are available. Parking is available at a nearby public car park. Permits are available from Rose Cottage. A refundable deposit of GBP 10 is required.

The Willowsmere - This guest house was built in the mid-19th century using Lakeland stone. With award-winning gardens, The Willowsmere is a grand Victorian residence ideally located for a visit to the Lake District. Martin and Sue welcome you to their friendly and cosy home. In recent years, The Willowsmere has been tastefully restored and renovated to include luxuries you might not expect in a guest house. There are en suite bedrooms, 2 guest lounges and a hidden garden where you can enjoy a drink from the well-stocked cellar. All guests have free use of nearby leisure facilities (5 minutes' walk). The Willowsmere has a large off-road car park and is 8 minutes' walk from Windermere centre and train station and 10 minutes' walk from Lake Windermere. The Willowsmere generally operates a 2 or 3-night minimum-stay policy.

Invergarry Guest House - In the heart of the beautiful Lake District, between Windermere and Bowness, this traditional Lakeland guest house offers a warm welcome, comfortable accommodation and a hearty breakfast. The Invergarry Guest House has a great location, close to all that the area has to offer, including Lake Windermere and all of the shops, bars, restaurants and cinemas of both Windermere and Bowness. Small and friendly, the guest house has just 5 rooms, guaranteeing guests personalised service and a warm welcome. There are 4 rooms in the main house and a garden room in the courtyard. All of the rooms have en suite shower facilities, plenty of storage space, well-stocked hospitality trays, TVs, radio alarms and hairdryers. A full traditional cooked breakfast is included in the price and is freshly cooked to order. Free parking is available for guests. The Invergarry is open all year round, with special rates over the autumn and winter periods. There are local walks from the front door and Windermere golf course is just a short drive away.

Ambleside Central - In the beautiful English Lake District, in the heart of the town, Ambleside Central offers great-value, room-only guest accommodation in stylish, modern and spacious rooms Carefully preserved and sensitively refurbished, this beautiful Victorian building still retains many of its original features. The newly renovated rooms are light and airy, with a contemporary style and modern comforts, including crisp white bed linen, comfortable beds, fresh towels, hairdryers and TVs. Irons are available on request. All rooms have either an en suite shower or a private bathroom. The accommodation is family-friendly and several rooms can be used as double, twin room or family rooms, sleeping up to four people. Hot drinks, including filter coffees, teas and hot chocolate are available 24 hours and there is an on-site Italian restaurant. Ambleside Central is just around the corner from the town's main bus stop and limited secure parking is available at an additional cost.

Blue Pig - In the beautiful market town of Kirkby Lonsdale, this newly renovated 17th-century cottage offers comfortable, bright accommodation in 3 lovely en suite rooms. The cosy lounge with log-burning stove can be made available. A cooked English breakfast is included in the room rate. There are 3 car parking spaces for guests (150 yards/140 metres from Blue Pig). The cottage is conveniently located just off the A65, only a few miles from the M6 motorway. The peaceful, convenient location makes the Blue Pig ideal for exploring the town and countryside.

Ivy House Hotel - In the pretty village of Hawkshead, surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of the English Lake District, this beautifully preserved Georgian house is rich in traditional charm and original character. In the heart of the village, the Ivy House is an impressive, Grade II listed Georgian building offering comfortable accommodation, great food and a good selection of wines. A log fire burns in the lounge on most evenings and free private parking is available for guests. There are 6 luxurious rooms in the main house, including 4 rooms with four-poster beds. We have 25 en suite bedrooms, 4 standard rooms and a selection of individually designed executive suites giving a maximum occupancy of 50 guests. All bedrooms contain the usual modern amenities with tea/coffee making facilities, colour tv, hair dryer, direct dial telephones, broadband internet access, luxury toiletries, tourist information, notepads etc. a separate ironing room is available, however executive suites include an ironing station, fresh flowers and complimentary welcome pack (wine, fresh fruit, still water and chocolates). Unfortunately the hotel does not have a lift.
